It may dependent upon the brand of blue-ray player. Most have a WiFi adapter built-in now. A couple years ago some brands and models required a separate USB wireless dongle similar to this Linksys item. You should contact the customer support for your brand of Blu-ray player first and determine if any wireless USB adapter will work in the USB port of your player. They may specify only their brand as Toshiba used to do. Samsung may also specify only their brand of USB dongle. Also note that older players will have only a USB 2.0 port, while the latest models will be equipped with the the newer and faster USB 3.0 port. Good luck!
