This dongle is specific for Windows OS. I suspect you need a wireless adapter specific for LG TV's that work with their operating system. I have seen several advertised by LG. Just check the compatibility with your model number.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's a great question. I have a Vizio that is only 2.4Ghz and I want it to be 5Ghz. I plugged it in but there was nothing in the TV's menu that recognized the device so I say no. Depends on the TV though.

I bought a Panasonic 55 inch a few years ago right before they got smart and created the built-in. So I ran out recently to get the Linksys to pair with my SmartTv but to no avail the Linksys didn't work. Actually my Tv wouldn't even recognize the external device. Come to find out I have to purchase the "Panasonic" adaptor.
