• It will work with either but for longevity I have had more luck with Linksys.

• I've used both and find Linksys to be easier to connect. Both have solid security features, however, I like the software interface better with Linksys.

• I have used both Linsys and Netgear. I prefer the latter but both work fine. I tend to shy away from Linksys since they were bought out around 2013.

• I have found Linksys is easier plug in play for windows users, but Netgear has always given ,me more coverage and stability of signal. So it just depends what you are needing more of.
