It all depends on the building and type of walls. Are you talking about coverage on the same floor or on different floors? It can depend on the type of router you are trying to connect to as well. Is the PC or laptop you are plugging this device into sitting on top of a desk or inside of a cabinet? In a wide open area without walls you could go approx. 150' with a decent wireless router. There is at least one other thing to consider. In an apartment building or a higher density area with many wireless signals bouncing around you may find that your coverage will shrink. I wish I could provide a simple straightforward answer but there are so many factors to consider when it comes to wireless coverage. This device did work well for me on a PC that was in a cabinet in a single family dwelling.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Curious. It could depend on the Wi-Fi standard that the router and adapter both support. If it supports 802.11ac, then its approximate range is at 230ft. If 802.11a, its range is at 115ft.
