• No for that you need a router with ddwrt installed on it, which will void warranty. You can buy netgear nighthawk and installed the software, you must me techy for that I have done that in the past and It will amazing what you can do with that

• No this router doesn't have the ability to use your Phone as a modem (i.e. Use you GB allotment from your wireless plan). However your phone itself may have a "Mobile Hotspot" feature. This allows the phone to broadcast WiFi for others to connect and use. Call customer service for you provider to find plan/cost details. They can also walk you through turning it on/off from your phone.
