Mine works great with my Comcast service, but I do not use Comcast's modem. If you are renting a modem from Comcast, check to see if it also serves as a router. Most times they have combo units. If this is the case, setup will be more difficult. Better to ditch your Comcast device and buy a surfboard modem and the Linksys router.
