No. Routers have their "software"/operating instructions at their very own internet address(Strange but true...) not on your computer. Your router is a "standalone device" which needs no computer to work(which makes sense when you think about it - I guess..? Ha!). Lots of info on the Linksys web site,

The easiest way to set this router is to download Linksys app and it will guide you how to install it step by step. I’m not tech shabby but I was able to do this myself. The easiest thing to set up and I’m pretty happy with it. Our WiFi is faster and doesn’t freeze or tag anymore
