Out router is on second floor, the extender is on the first. Seems to work well

I have my Linksys installed in the basement family room about half way between my TV and the primary router which is in the den on the first floor. So far the TV connects to Netflix and Amazon Prime where it wouldn't before.

Hi! That may depend, as long as the range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. You can identify the best placement through the Spot Finder feature during the initial setup.
