• Hi. The Linksys RE6300 AC750 Boost Wireless Range Extender will not work if you connect it directly to a modem. A Wi-Fi Range Extender detects the Wi-Fi signal from your router and expands it throughout your home network. Unless the modem is a modem router, then it will work, but if not, you need to connect it directly to an access point/router first.
