“Could I put my wifi extender in my basement and plug an ethernet cable from my pc into the extender in place of my router? Or would I need to use my router?”

• Hi, Jordan. The Ethernet port on the Linksys RE6300 extender lets you wire client devices such as computers or media servers when the extender is in Range Extender mode or connect to a router when it is in Access Point mode.

• I connected from the extender to the computer to end a conflict with the modem. The modem was inconsistent with the signal to the computer.
