Hi. You may need to contact the manufacturer of your laptop to see if there's a compatibility issue with the router at your new house. However, the Linksys RE6300 range extender can extend the range up to 6,500 sq ft.

Please try again later.I bought this WiFi extender because my router that should easily cover my whole house was not able to push signal into my garage due, I think, to too many obstructions and walls,. I have put a tv there for streaming use and the wifi extender has easily boosted the signal in that area so I can stream video to that tv. As a bonus hit helped make the signal more stable in the rest of the opposite end of the house where the strength was fading.
