“Does everyone in the house have to use the extender signal? I share an apartment but they’re not tech savvy. It’s for me alone, so can they keep using the original signal without interference? Or will the extender override the original signal.”

Not everyone needs to use it. We bought it for our son because he needed a stronger signal in his room for school work on his laptop. It hasn't had any affect on my laptop or my husbands.
