“I currently have the latest Xfinity gig speed router for internet access. Will this range extender work with an Xfinity router? I need it to receive the Xfinity wi-fi signal and connect the extender directly to my desktop via an Ethernet cable.”

• The unit doesn’t care who provides the wi-fi signal. However, it only provides the speed listed on the box, regardless of the parent signal speed.

• Hi, IH8Xfin. The RE6300 extender will work as long as there’s an active Wi-Fi connection that it can connect to. Just make sure that it can get an optimum connection from the router when relocating it.
