QuestionIs there an option to transfer my fixed DHCP settings from to a new master? I currently have 189 devices on my network. Most of which have fixed up addresses and names for easy lookup. Are there any options or suggestions for an easy migration.

- Answer No, Bruce. The backup/restore configuration option is not supported and there’s no similar feature available as of writing.

QuestionAll the documentation refers to setting up nodes to an existing Velop network, but I have a combo modem/Wi-Fi router from our provider. Can you connect a Velop extender to a non-Velop wireless router? I can’t seem to find any videos that show that… Thanks

- Answer Yes, if you have a Ethernet port from your device that is all you need. Connect one of the nodes directly, the others via WiFi (or Ethernet if available). You should be good!

QuestionDo these need to be installed with in a certain distance to work? So could the main one be in the middle of the house and two nodes be on either end or does it need to have main one in the middle of the house and then the nodes close to the middle unit?

- Answer Approx 50 feet away MAX (Square root of 3000) PARENT node can be placed wherever. But each node should have overlapping coverage (square root is 54ft = as long as within 40s feet apart all is good) Adaptive can add/move as deemed necessary (parent node stays attached to ISP router placed wherever)

QuestionCan I use a Verizon cellular modem jet pack 4G lte as the input router? Does that make sense? I have the Verizon jet pack because I’m remote but it doesn’t reach my office from the TV room.

QuestionWe have a 4200sqft Stucco House. We currently have a Linksys Velop system with four WHW03v1 nodes and one WHWO1Pv1 node. We also have wifi cams on the exterior of our home. We have constant "issues"... Will the Atlas system help (and be compatible)?

- Answer Hello! The Linksys Atlas Max 6E System is well suited with other Velop systems and Mesh routers. A 3 node system can cover up to 9000 sq ft as well. - Answer Yes to both questions. I have unique names for all three and turn off broadcasts for the 2.4 band which is only used by my old legacy devices.

- Answer Yes, there is. I would recommend the "Netgear AX1600 WiFi Extender". It's works great and will give you the extra coverage in the hallway.

QuestionRight on the box it says "9,000 sq ft of coverage" so i think it will work in my situation. of 6,500 sq ft and 3 story house. what you guys think?

- Answer Hi. It depends on a few things: 1. Do you have a fireplace with rock/metal in your house? I do and, the signal will have a hard time traveling through it; not the unit's fault but my fireplace and placement of my access point. All brands I have used had a hard time with it and i get it. Same applies if you have a mirror or extra walls 2. Do you have cameras on the outside of your house (e.g. end of the garage? I do, so I have to get an extra base station) 3. The least I can get away with is 2 units on the main level and 1 unit on the second and one in the basement. Ideally, I would have 3 on the main though due to the impregnable fireplace.

- Answer Yes, Isco. After setting up the Linksys Atlas Mesh System via the Linksys app, you can configure it to bridge mode so it will act as an extension of the current network.

QuestionCan I use these as nodes only and leave the base station with a Linksys Velop Wifi 6? The reason is I have one room that needs a Wireless Backhaul, so my thought is to have one wired from my base node and then extend the wired via the 6ghz backhaul?

- Answer It is a lot, but in this case you are basically buying three full routers that can be meshed together, Its a little overkill yes, but if you think about it that way, its really $400 each. My last Linksys router was $600 so its not bad. It is still a lot though yes.
