QuestionI want to hook up an external hard drive to my network(4gig) will this router allow me to do that? the older netgear unit I have won't allow me to do that even though I have USB sharing turned on. much thanks, Mr. needs help.

- Answer No, Nellie. The Linksys EA8300 is designed to be connected to a modem that supports Ethernet connection. It doesn't have a phone jack and you cannot hook up a landline phone with it.

QuestionCan the Lynksys be set up with Spectrum internet ? The Lynksys AC 2200 does not have a cable connection.

- Answer Yes, the AC2200 router will work with Spectrum internet. It doesn't have a cable connection but you can connect it to the modem's ethernet port to get it online.

QuestionEver since I got a new Desktop with Win10, I need to keep re-setting my Netgear network adapter. Desktop needs connection via Wi-Fi, as it is situated in the opposite side of the room where adapter is. Can this unit function as a network adapter?

QuestionI replaced my old Linksys ea1000 with this router. It works great, with one exception: I can no longer access my SB6190 modem settings web page. It times out. Anyone know what to change in the router settings (subnet mask, firewall, etc.?)

- Answer Yes it is compatible and might I add works great. To connect the two just press the WPS button on the router, then within 2 mins press the WPS button on the Repeater. Then you should see it in the Linksys smart hub. Justin

- Answer I have approx. 11 devices on my wireless net at the house. I've had no issues with streaming or buffering. Granted, not all 11 communicate at the same time, but I believe this unit can fulfill most homeowners needs.
