I don't know the specifics of your router, but before I switched to Spectrum, I used to have an AT&T router and I was not overly happy with it, so I bought 3 mesh routers (not Linksys, TP-Link, they do the same job), I connected one to the AT&T with an Ethernet wire, configure the other ones as "nodes", and bingo, I got a mesh Wifi system covering every nook and crannies of my house. I did have to switch all my devices to the new SSID. The old AT&T SSID was still available, just nothing connected to it. And when I got rid of AT&T because of poor communication after an network failure, I just returned their router, connected the cable model from Spectrum to my primary router, and this time I did not have to change any of my connected devices.
