“I have the router and need some instructions for installing it . I plugged the cable from my Comcast modem (internet) into the back of the router marked internet and the cable from my computer (USB 3.0, Gegabit ethernet apapter) into another connection!”

As for the connection from your computer, you have to plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of your router.
