• That is correct, it changes the internet icon from the square box to the wireless icon; when you select the icon you get the list of local routers just like on your laptop.

• Correct, is supposed to autoload , there is a load disk I found more useful to access the settings. So far so good does eat 1 USB port, I mounted mine directly & have all rest on extension hub, does not state requirements for that.
