I have one in the living room connected to my WiFi modem, one in the back bedroom and one in my patio outside, these 3 cover about 2600 sq ft with no issues and great reception.

I put one in the basement and one upstairs 20ft away and one cinderblock wall away. If I tried the next room it wouldn't get a good signal. However they did cover my whole house (2600 Sq feet) with 108 meg- I am paying for 100 meg. They are on sale in a 2 pack at half price. You can always return them if you don't like them.
