This is a router itself, so your existing router will not be needed. One will receive the wired connection and the other(s) a wireless signal from the wired one.

The first node you set up is the parent node, and the other ones (if you need to set them up) act as child nodes to distribute your WiFi signal throughout your house. You can’t just add a node to your existing router (unless of course it’s the exact same Linksys mesh router).
