• Hi, Jack. You can another dual-band or a tri-band node to your Velop network as the Velop system is designed to work together as one mesh system to provide you with optimal range and connectivity. But it is recommended that you use the tri-band node as the parent node in a mixed environment.

• AC1200, AC1800, etc the numbers just refer to projected square footage of broadcast coverage nothing to do with system. You will need to log on to Linksys app, click on add a node, name the location, and place your smart phone next to the new node until the system locates it: about 8 minutes!
