No router needed, just download the app on your phone and it will take you step by step to set up, extremely easy.

The main Velop node connects to your cable modem and then any additional nodes will pair with the system. It is like having 3 routers but only one hardwired to your cable modem. Great speed and they have dedicated support for this model.
