I tried a range extender also. Waste of money, right. Just got the Velop and I am really impressed. Needed to get out to my shed to control a wifi light switch. No problem with Velop. Have 3 stories including the basement. Put the first node next to my modem on ground level, the second node in a basement window facing my shed and the third node in my office on the second floor. Full reception in every room and I could stream in my shed if I wanted to. You will not be sorry!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if placed correctly throughout your home, you will see a significant difference in bandwidth. I have installed theses in 5000 sq. ft. homes with plaster walls and it works where no other product would.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Short answer is yes. I had the exact same issue. I had not only slower speed but dead zones where I would lose connectivity just walking form one room to another inside the house. So I bought this and will say I now have well over 250MB connectivity anywhere in my house and even in my back patio. And you only have one network (SSID) to connect to vs. changing it as you move around the house (I used to have a range extender too). You just have to plop a node in the right places (I opted for 4 in a 3800 sqft house but wanted backyard coverage too).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same issue you're describing. With pods spaced out around the house, my dead zones are gone..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will, Bradford72; however, physical obstructions like walls may affect the connection.
