• It won't - the "parent" or first node is required to be plugged into a router or modem via Ethernet. This creates the new mesh network from your existing internet connection.

• My guess is probably not - the Velop system does not have a USB port for connecting a 4G modem, so unless your modem has an Ethernet jack on it for connection sharing, the answer is no.

• I highly doubt that. What do you mean by 4G signal? like a phone HotSpot? You cannot use phone Hotspot with these wireless routers.
