I have a MR8300 router and purchased three nodes WHW0303 Velop Nodes that are used. So because they were setup on another system by someone else do I just do a reset on the used nodes then linked them as if they are new? any suggestions? null

Yes reset them and use them as if they are new. It will make your life a lot easier. To reset hold the reset button on the bottom until the flashing red light fades away.
