To my knowledge, you need a monthly internet provider. My Velop system works great, I have Xfinity for internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do have to have some form of Internet access already. This is a WiFi router that is designed to daisy chain together to cover a broader space. The first (base) module has to have a wired connection to your Internet, either directly to a cable modem, DSL modem, or another switch or router with Internet access. The base can then extend itself over a wider range either wired or wirelessly (with a dedicated 5 GHz channel) to the other Velop modules. You can even purchase more modules to continue daisy chaining for more coverage if necessary.
