• No you won’t need your old router. The velop system will be everything you need to get WiFi in and around your house

• One of the nodes needs to connect to one of the ethernet ports of the router in order the wifi to access the internet

• Hi, Roberts. There's no need for the existing router as the Velop System will replace it and should act as the main unit connected to the modem. However, you can still connect it on the Velop and will act as a child node/access point to extend the coverage more enough.

• You will still need your modem and internet however it is supplied. This unit will replace your router, but does not have a build in modem.

• I had a Netgear 1750 which I do npt use anymore. It was 12-15 years old. The new system works fine
