• Zeusman, This is correct. You will still need a modem, but the Velop system will put your Apple Extreme to shame!

• Yes. You would still use your modem and inplace of the Apple extreme, you'd use the Velop system.

• Yes. It is triband Mesh Wi-Fi router and you still need a modem to get the internet
