Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I added the system to an existing verizon modem/router. I covers a lot of area. I also only have a DSL connection. I live in the country and this system is great. I almost have a better connection in the opposite end of the house then I do at the router. What is really great is that all you have to do once the system is set up is to unplug the individual units and move them to where you want them. As long as you are within the range of the base unit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We initially purchased this system to eliminate the extender. I then found out that the system is a router and I did not need the cable company provided router. I returned the router and no longer need to pay the "rental" fee to the cable company. Works great. I subsequently returned the modem because I purchased my own and now don't have to pay the cable company for renting any equipment.
