I haven't tried with a group of people, but I just checked and it can easily pick up text from a smaller magazine. I'd recommend downloading the software & manually adjusting zoom & focus. A tripod would help, but the back of the camera is very flexible. on a monitor, you could easily angle it straight down(so much so it's nearly pointing at the monitor it's on. I don't think you'd want to do that, but just showcasing its flexibility) or a little in front of it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello RDA67! Webcam cameras such as the C920s Pro 1080 Webcam with Privacy Shutter aren't designed to be used as document cameras unfortunately no. You could try and position the camera in a overhead view yes, but wouldn't be able to zoom in and have precise details on what is written on the the document in example. Our webcams are designed to film people, between 3 to 6 feet of range ideally for the best possible result. - Mathieu from Logitech
