• You do need sometyoe of software for the camera.

• Hello! Webcams such as the C922 Pro Stream 1080 Webcam for HD Video Streaming are not designed to be used on TV directly unfortunately, so although it is recognized by your LG Smart TV, it may not work. There is no on/off button on the C922 no, but you would have to use a video calling app (i.e. Skype) on your TV to use the webcam. - Mathieu from Logitech
