I would strongly suggest watching a video online on how to set up the camera...before trying to set it up with just the instructions that come with it. It is not difficult to set up for someone who is not much of a tech person...like me. It is probably easy to set up for someone who is tech savvy. I am not sure I can answer the second part of your question...the only way I know that it saves a video is to a cloud owned by the company. Circle 2 camera comes with minimal cloud storage. If you want to use it as a 'security camera' you will probably want to purchase additional cloud storage. The company does not give the user other options for storage, I guess for security reasons??? I do like the availability of the option of saving individual clips to send to others if needed. It also has a handy option of looking at the day in video in fast motion in a 60 second clip. My opinion is that if you are looking for a 'security camera', this may not be your best option... although it may be the cheapest and easiest to set up. I use my camera for convenience...just to know when the kids get home or a package is left on my porch etc. If you are seriously needing a security camera system, I would consider consulting an expert.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is easy to install. There are no disc(s), it is cloud based recording. You log into the app on your phone, or their website and you can view the videos. I, however, returned this product because it is too buggy with too many issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This camera can only store data on the Logitech server. If your home network has any issues or when the Logitech service has issues, you will not have the live stream and or the storage work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is fairly easy to install. You don't need a computer or a hub. You just need your wifi password. You just need to plug it in and follow the directions. When it was first launched a few weeks ago, it was very buggy and had a hard time connecting, but I believe they have fixed that issue and it's easy to connect to your internet now. There is no disc and no removeable storage or built in storage. It comes with a few days of "circle safe" trial in which you get the premium recording of events and motion zones. After that, there is 24 hours free of recorded video that Logitech stores somewhere in the internet lol! After 24 hours, video is deleted so simply download footage you want to to keep. There is also other plans for a fee that range from 2 weeks to a month of recording.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is pretty easy to install. I just used the phone app and it was able to connect to it to configure it. There are no discs neded as it is all cloud based. You will need to register online with the circle.logi.com website to view your recordings and LIVE VIEW.
