• Yes, it’s magnetic and very secure! I love it. And an added bonus is that it acts as a cover as well. Very well built.

• The Combo Touch had two components, The iPad is surrounded by the case/kickstand and the keyboard attaches magnetically and aligns itself when you hold the top edge of the keyboard next to the bottom edge of the case. The connection feels very secure, but you can pull the keyboard apart. You cannot use the keyboard/touchpad if it is not attached.

• I have found the magnet connection to be strong and lightening quick. The touch-pad has worked flawlessly. The keyboard disconnects and attaches to the back of the iPad for book mode.

• The keyboard connects to the case magnetically with a very solid and satisfying snap. The connection is solid but also easy to remove when you just want the iPad to be a tablet.

• Yes, it is a magnetized attachment. I wouldn't recommend jogging with the keyboard open, but i has a sturdy attachment that if used as designed and recommended, will remained attached.

• Yes, it attaches with a pair of magnets in the attachment point. It is secure, but not load bearing. A medium pull will separate them. Also, if you have a previous model that doesn’t detatch and are used to folding the keyboard behind, that motion detaches it. Overall, this model solved all of my problems with the old one.
