Would this work for ipad 5th generation null

The regular iPad? No it won’t. Only with 2019 versions (forgot the gen) and later. If you mean the mini 5th gen, then yes. I have a 5th gen mini with the 1st gen Pencil.

Hello, Thank you for your question. No, the Logitech Crayon will not work with iPad 5th generation. Crayon will work with iPads 2018 and later updated to iOS 12.2 and above. iPad PRO 12.9" 5th generation will work with Crayon, but not iPad 5th generation.
