I personally use the Logitech keyboard and have found, both with my first iPad as well as my present iPad Air 2, I rarely have to charge my keyboard. I use my keyboard for virtually everything I type. I've had my iPad Air 2 for well over a year and I've only charged it (3) three times. I would definitely have to say that the Logitech keyboard doesn't take much battery power. As for the Apple keyboard, I'm unable to speak to that since I've never used it. This is my second Logitech keyboard, and it's lighter in weight and more quiet than my previous one. The keys also offer more comfort to your fingertip keystrokes.
