most likely just age. Mouses/Mice deteriorate and have a upper limit on how many quality clicks they will provide.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not familiar with the older version, but I've been using this non-stop since I've gotten it with zero issues. I game on it daily, as well as using it for art related tasks and surfing the web, and haven't had any lag or loss of connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If its the wireless g502, i suggest moving the receiver closer to the mouse. Sometimes theres too much interference between the mouse and the dongle too work effectively. I was having issues until i moved the dongle right under my screen with the provided usb extension. If its wired, i suggest downloading g hub if you haven’t already and update the software for the mouse.
