A:Answer I've only had this headset a couple of weeks but I do have a cat that sheds a lot. So far I've had no problems with them collecting excessive hair or dust. The pads seems to be covered with what appears to be a tightly woven micro-fiber. It doesn't appear that the overall surface texture would contribute to that type of problem. But absolute worst case, the covers can be removed for cleaning, I haven't had a need for that yet.
The fact that they're cordless also makes them easy to store, when not in use, in a manner to help prevent any sort of build up of such things. Like tossing them in a drawer for example.
Overall I'm very impressed with the sound quality and performance for the sale price.
