The wheel is force feedback so it moves on its own and you have to turn the wheel sometimes 360 degrees so I don’t know how you maintain pushing a button. There are shifting paddles so you may be able to configure those for acceleration and braking.

Most games have the option to configure your preferred play methods in the game's settings. It is much more fun to have the pedals and the driving wheel in use together in my opinion!
