• Not entirely. They aren’t noise canceling, they’re more noise enhancing. They pick up most of not all background noise.

• Hi, the H390 Wired Headset won't be able to completely drown out the sound of the trains, but it should be able to at least help dampen those noise a little! That is probably better than having no noise cancellation. Hope that helps! -N from Logitech
