I use it with Jabber every day but haven't tried to use the buttons.

Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Logitech Vid), make sure your headset is set as the audio output and microphone in both the operating system and the chat or internet soft-phone application. Note that the H800 headset controls may not be compatible with all chat and soft-phone applications though, so it is possible that it's not working with Cisco Jabber. I'd test it out with another software such as Skype to see it works or not.
