• yes it works fine with Directv Genie and other Directv DVR as well

• yes it will Sometimes you have to add button and or learn them from your original remote.

• Yes it does work with all direct tv boxes it works with all of ours

• Yes any button can be programm from original remote, your directv receiver have to be on IR mode

• I use it with our genie. Not sure about mini genie.

• I imagine it will. This is a programmable device so you can make it do pretty much anything you need it to.
