It remembers what the device settings are for the current activity. Example: Current activity is watch tv. Your TV is on, the cable box is on, the av receiver is on. When you select the "play xbox" activity, it will (if programmed appropriately) change the tv input to the right input, turn off the cable box, switch inputs on the av reciever and turn on the xbox. When you select off, it will then turn the tv off, the reciever off and the xbox...but it will know that the cable box is already off and not toggle the power
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my experience, if you are using the activity based commands, it does remember. I think this means you need to use the help button to fix an issue with an activity (i.e the receiver comes on, but the TV doesnt) rather than digging into the device menu and manually fixing the issue. This should not be a problem because the "help" button really, really works. I was not expecting that functionality at all, and to me it's the best feature of the remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When programming, go to DEVICES. Choose your TV. Choose "Change Device Settings." Choose "Power settings." Choose "I want to keep this device on when switching ..." IMPORTANT: SELECT "I press two different buttons for on and for off" even if it is not true. Click on Finish It worked for our Panasonic smart TV. Maybe it will for yours.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - it remembers what is on. I can switch from "watch TV" to "watch movie" and the TV and my receiver stay on. In this case, my DVD player will turn on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We've gone from watching a BluRay to watching TV and it didn't turn off the TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it remembers. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is the challenge. It does seem to remember that the TV is on. However, and this may be user error, when I switch off of watch TV to movies, games, or radio, it turns off the cable box. This is fine, but if I'm recording anything it gets cut off. If anything is scheduled to record and I've switched off of Watch TV to something else, turning off the DVR will keep those things from being recorded.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just push the button for other device and the one running will not change.
