• It is lit when locked. If you are looking at it from an angle, it may be hard to see. Put your head right over the Caps Lock key and you should see it bright green.

• Yes the caps lock stays lit even when the other lights on the keyboard go out.

• When the CAP LOCK is engaged a small green LED remains lit even after the backlighting has shut off. Logitech's standard type keyboards also have the green LED.

• Yes the Caps Lock key stays lit while caps lock is active. However, at least on mine if I am looking at it from an angle instead of from directly overhead I cannot actually see the light, which can cause problems when it looks like the light is off but everything is coming out caps.
