• Your tab will sleep after a determined time. There is also an on/off button to power down the keyboard so that if you want to keep the tab inside the keyboard folder for use while sitting on the couch; it'll prevent the keys from being sent to the tab by accident.

• Yes, the tablet has a sensor in it and turns on the moment the case is opened.

• You have to turn it off and on. It does not do that automatically.

• It definitely turns on when I open the case. I think the tablet sleeps on its own when it's closed. There doesn't appear to be any link to the tablet to tell it to sleep when the folio is closed.
