Many motherboard and front panel USB plugs might have trouble supplying the current for such a long run. Recommend against plugging into a USB hub unless it is externally powered (power plugged in so not coming from USB socket). If in budget I would recommend using a USB hub that has external power with a long cable to the computer. That could allow the user to connect USB drives if the hub is close enough to them rather than getting up to go to the computer.
