Either one works fine. This device is not dependent on fast speeds, USB 3.0 ports are backwards compatible so you can use 2.0 devices in the 3.0 port only using 2.0 speeds due to the device not being 3.0 Only benefit of a 3.0 is for an external hard drive as it will help with faster read/write speeds but mice and keyboards are not going to see a difference in speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Either one will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used the USB 2.0 port. Don't need that much speed for the mouse.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should work in either. I would use the 2.0. Save the 3.0 port for devices that need the speed/power
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It really makes no difference from my experience the receiver will work with either. However, I recommend you save your 3.0 port for devices such as 3.0 Hard Drives or the like because of increased data transfer speeds.
