This mouse is an optical mouse. It uses a laser to sense motion. When you say "skip" do you mean the pointer sometimes does not respond or do you mean the mouse physically skips off the mouse pad? If the pointer sometimes does not respond, it could be some software problem. This mouse, the "Anywhere MX" seems to work on all surfaces unlike other optical mice. I use mine on a glass surface which many optical mice do not work on and I love it. Since this is a laser optical device, consider that it is possible if your mouse pad has a strange reflective surface, like a bumpy 3D image, that the laser might diffuse in an unusual pattern that the sensor cannot pick up. Try different mouse pads. If your mouse skips even on a regular table top, it is probably a software problem (where one program is trying to do something that is not compatible with your mouse software) or radio interference (wireless uses radio signals as do cellular phones and other wireless devices). Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not use mouse pads. The new style mice work much better without them....on a non-glass desk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Take it back. It's defective.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't had that problem. Sometimes I have used magazines as a pad and it works. Maybe there is a defect and you need to exchange it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a black rubber pad and it works great with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sounds like a defective mouse to me. If you still have the receipt I'd back and either return for a different model or exchange it for a replacement if you can.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't even have a mouse pad and it works perfectly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't had that issue. I using mine on the bare surface of my pull out tray on the computer desk. Have you installed the latest driver? Changed the battery? If those things don't work, maybe you can get a replacement. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I never had any issues with the mouse skipping. I just use a regular basic mouse pad. Maybe there's a defect in the glide ball?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had no problems on a mouse pad, the side of my jeans, or on a table cloth. Perhaps clean the optics with a soft cloth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
