There are three "buttons", one of which is the scroll wheel. Check out the Logitech Quick Start Guide for description of the buttons. http://www.logitech.com/assets/42322/m525-quick-start-guide.pdf. The buttons can be programmed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The buttons are right and left click, like on most mice. The third button is actually two buttons on the left side of the mouse activated by the user's left thumb which changes web pages back and forth.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Can't answer the question on "rebindable" but the buttons are L, R, and the center roller wheel / button. I'm sure you can manage what each click "does" via Windows control panel. Personally I'm perfectly happy with the default setting.
