“I currently have a Logitech keyboard (K520) and mouse (M705) that share the same USB (unifying) receiver. The mouse needs to be replaced. If I order a new M705 mouse will it work with the same USP receiver that my current keyboard uses?”

Hello Jetball. The M705 and K520 use our Unifying technology, so any other unifying mouse or keyboard can be paired up with the same USB receiver. To pair them, use our Unifying program found here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025297913

I had to restart Windows 10 and it was then found using the same USP. I now have a spare USP to use with my laptop.
