No you don't need bluetooth. Only need a USB port. I am using it on my Philips Android TV.

I'd suggest looking up the K600 TV Wireless Keyboard, which can connect via Bluetooth or with the USB Unifying Receiver, and has a trackpad (mouse) built-in.
